Thoughts from Some of Our Small Group Members

We asked some of the existing members here at CSM about their thoughts and feelings on being in one of our small groups. These are some of the things they said...

"Small groups is a way to make very close friends and have really good fellowship with each other..."
~ Eleanor ~

"My small group has become one of the most important things in my life. Everyday I pray for my girlfriends and it's like I have a group of friends I can really connect with. Sometimes I hurt so deeply, but they have been there before, and through their testimonies of faith and support I know I can have hope like I've never had it before. We're a family in Christ and one thing about my girlfriends at Sanctuary is, they are really sisters to me. I love them and thank the Lord for them every day!"
~ Sunbeamgurl ~

"Small group is like having a close and caring imediate family within a larger caring extended family."
~ Tealsheep ~

"Belonging to my CS small group has totally impacted my life. There is a level of trust and accountablility like I have never known before. It is a special thing to be able to love and be loved in a safe and encouraging place. In the small group setting, the relationships are close enough that I feel safe in allowing my friends into the secret, hurting places in my life."
~ LoriJE1 ~

"My small group has been a tremendous source of encouragement, friendship and healing..."
~ Ann ~

"Being in a CS small group has given me a group of people who really care about me and with understanding, which other people who care about me don't necessarily have. Their care and understanding has helped me to talk about things that otherwise I probably would have kept to myself. The talking has been good, as I am learning to process stuff better, rather than keeping it inside until the day it comes out in unhelpful and inappropriate ways. My friends here in the small group are so special to me, I would not be without any of them."
~ Lynn ~

"I love being part of a small group here at CS. I feel connected, enjoyed, valued and supported. I can be myself and feel safe doing so.
It is my favourite part of CS."
~ Wendy ~

"Being in a small group at CS gives you the sense of belonging - you can be just who you are you can say anything and it will be heard and not judged. The sense of belonging, and coming to find messages of love and care has been both healing and valuable. I pray daily for my friends here, and knowing they pray for me and for my family is so important. This is my lifeline and my first call of posting when I am in need. Thank you everyone!"
~ Elaine ~
