Reporting Posts Which Concern You
Hi there
![]() I just wanted to highlight a function of the forum which enables members to quickly alert the staff to any posts which might be unsafe or inappropriate for the forum. On every post made by any member, there is a small icon, down on the bottom left, which resembles a warning sign. This is the report a post function. All you have to do to use this function is click on that icon on the post you are concerned about, which will bring up a box in which to write your concerns. Write down anything you think we might need to know, and click send report. This then alerts us to the problem, meaning that it can be taken care of much more quickly than waiting for a staff member themselves to see the problem in a thread. Using the reporting system enables you to quickly warn the mods of that forum, and the entire senior staff, that there is a problem - enabling us to deal with it swiftly. Problems could be really anything ... someone breaking a forum rule; an argument on the forum; a thread going off topic in an inappropriate way; a post containing too graphic or triggering material, or one which has not been appropriately trigger warned; or something inappropriate, or abusive, having been posted - & using this function is by far the best way to get our attention to the problem quickly! (When members do post reports, it is actually quite helpful for us as a staff as it is easy for us to miss problems due to the size of the forum!) So, we would like to encourage you all to begin to use this function when you see any problems on the forum. It is the best way to facilitate communication between us all, and any reports will of course be kept entirely confidential! Don't worry that using this function might be an overreaction, we would always prefer to be safe than sorry! When you have reported a post, a thread is created in the member concerns forum, where the senior staff will be able to feedback to you regarding your report. Thanks for your cooperation!
